3 Days Rwanda Safari itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Musanze
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be picked by one of our travel company representatives along with our safari guide and transferred to Kigali City for a city tour. We shall have lunch at Hotel Mille Des Collines and proceed to visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Monument, buy crafts at Caplaki crafts village along with other nice places around the city. We shall then proceed to Musanze, a town where Volcanoes National Park is located driving through the magnificent views of Rwanda’s hills, mountains, and plains. We should reach the park in the evening for dinner and overnight as we prepare for a thrilling mountain gorilla trekking adventure the next day.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking & IBy’Iwacu Cultural visit
This is the day of your Rwanda gorilla trekking tour that you track gorillas of Rwanda. We shall rise as early as 06:00 am, have early breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters in Kinigi for a 30 minutes briefing session before making our final strides into the Volcanoes to search for mountain gorillas. The adventure is quite physically challenging and requires you to be at your best physical state hence, you ought to make sure your health is at its best.
The trek can last up to 8 hours depending on how long we take to locate mountain gorillas implicating you should carry packed lunch with you considering the fact that there are no shops in the jungle. Upon locating the mountain gorillas, we shall have a full hour of a gorilla encounter with them then return to the park for our respective gorilla tacking certificates before we return to our lodge for a short relaxation session.
In the late afternoon, we shall head for a cultural visit at Iby’Iwacu cultural center to spot some of the community projects, watch Rwandan dance along with other cultural activities. After this visit we shall return to our lodge for dinner and overnight as we prepare for yet another exciting activity the following day.

Day 3: Dian Fossey Trekking and Transfer to Kigali
On the third day, we shall rise up to an early morning breakfast and head for a trek up to Karisoke Research Center, a base that previously belonged to Dian Fossey. Dian Fossey is an American zoologist who dedicated her life to conserving and habituation mountain gorillas for over a decade. Her grave lies next to Karisoke Research Center. After this trek, we shall transfer back to Kigali for your departure.
