Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Head to Lake Kivu from Kigali
Your driver guide will be you from the agreed point that a hotel or airport and the tour will begin with a briefing, and head to the west of Rwanda. Drive to Kibuye, a journey that will last for 5 to 6 hours with well-designed stopovers.
Upon arriving, take a short Lake Kivu tour by walking on its shores. Lake Kivu is one of the great lakes in Africa located on the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It’s known for its beautiful beaches perfect for rewinding and relax.
Day 2: Full day Lake Kivu holiday.
This will be a leisurely day where you will have breakfast served at the hotel and then head to visit Kibuye city. Enjoy a boat cruise that will take you to visit some of the community projects, participate in sport fishing, and sand beach tour as you enjoy fresh air in the area. There is a high chance of taking tea plantation tour where you opt to take in harvesting. Head back to the resort beach and this will be the end of the day.
Day 3: Head back to Kigali, city tour and drop off at the airport
Leave Lake Kivu at one of the resorts after breakfast and then head to Kigali, capital city of Rwanda. Take an optional city tour where notable places like the Rwanda genocide memorial center, local markets, and museums, shopping malls, and art and craft centers will not be missed. Later on, be dropped at Kigali International Airport and this will be the end of 3 days Lake Kivu tour.
