This is an adventure tour that will take you to Jinja – city of adventurous activities in the whole of east Africa. The main activities in this tour are white water rafting and bungee jumping – both taking place at the Nile River. Rafting will depend of the grade you want but it goes up to grade 5, the amazing experience is that you will also enjoy primates in Mabira forest, tea and sugar plantations along the way.
Amazing stopovers on the roadside markets to purchase some snacks such as roasted sweet bananas (gonja), chicken and much more. There will be an option of taking a visit of the source of R. Nile which will create another memory of standing at the very starting point of world’s longest river in the.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Jinja and bungee jumping experience.
Be picked from the point that will be agreed upon and transfer to Jinja – capital of adventure. The driver guide will enrich your safari with lots of smiles, stories and knowledge. While on the way, enjoy great scenic views of tea plantations, forests with primates like colobus monkeys, olive baboons and vervets.
Arrive during lunch time and immediately after taking lunch, head for a bungee jumping adventure. Jump from a height of 45 metres as you are connected to a large elastic cable. The boat will be down waiting to recue you upon touching the Nile waters. After the experience, you will head to the hotel for dinner and accommodation.
Day 2: White water rafting and optional visit the source of R. Nile
Wake up, enjoy breakfast and later on about 9:00 am, head to for another great adventure of white water rafting along R. Nile. The grade you prefer depends on the level of fitness and how brave you can conquer the challenges and remain calm under pressure. This experience will begin with briefing where guidelines will be given and be told that the rescue team is there for you in case you fail to complete the adventure.
Rafting lasts for about 6-8 hours and then head back to the resort to share great moments and have lunch. In the evening, depending on the time, head for an optional tour of visiting the source of R. Nile with a boat cruise, have memories of photos standing at the point where the longest river in the world starts its way to Mediterranean Sea. Return to the resort for your dinner.
Day 3: Return to Kampala and enroute nature walk in Mabira forest
Leave Jinja early in the morning with packed lunch after breakfast and while on the way, make a stopover in Mabira forest where you will take part in a nature walk experience in one of Uganda’s largest forests.
During this walk, get to experience primates like colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys and others, bird species won’t be missed such as Jameson’s wattle eye, yellow billed kite, hadada ibis and hooded vultures.
Proceed with the journey after 2 hours walk and then be dropped at any agreed point – either Kampala or Entebbe which will mark the end of this 3 days tour.
