4 Days Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
The moment you arrive at Kigali International Airport, you will find our guide and travel company representative already waiting for you. You will then get transferred to Kigali for lunch and a brief city tour to places like crafts villages and the Gisozi Genocide Memorial monument before we make our final journey to Volcanoes National Park, where we shall arrive for dinner and overnight as we get set for a thrilling gorilla tracking experience the following day.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking and Twin Lakes visit
On this second day of your Rwanda gorilla trekking safari, you shall rise up to an early breakfast transfer to the park headquarters to catch up with the 30 minutes briefing meeting that commences at 7:30 am and stretches up to 8:00. It is from this meeting that we shall be informed about the dos and donts of gorilla tracking, divided into groups and allocated gorilla families to track. We shall then head into the forests to look for these gentle giants, a quest that should last for about 2 to eight hours depending on how long we take to locate the gorillas.
Upon locating them, we shall a full hour of a close encounter hence, a perfect chance for you to take photographs, watch them play and greet them as you watch them greet you back with a smile. After this encounter, we shall return to our lodge for lunch, relax and head for a visit to Rwanda’s twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo then return to our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Dian Fossey Hike and Iby’Iwacu Cultural Visit
On the third day, we visit the grave of Dian Fossey, an American lady who dedicated her life to the conservation of mountain gorillas for decades. The hike is quite physically challenging but worth every second of your time hence, a perfect chance for you to reconcile with Rwanda’s history of Mountain Gorillas. After this trek, we shall return to our place of stay for lunch and later on head for a cultural visit at Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, a place where Rwandan culture manifests itself inform of dances and various traditional acts. We shall then return to our place of stay for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking and transfer to Kigali
After an early morning breakfast, we shall head to the park headquarters to catch up with a group and thereafter proceed back to the jungles of Volcanoes National Park in search for Golden Monkeys, a quest that can last up to 5 hours depending on the Monkeys’ movement of the day. We shall have a full hour with these primates when we locate them then transfer back to your safari lodge for lunch and thereafter drive back to Kigali International Airport to catch up with your departure flight.
